VBB/VBS Series

The Schneider Electric DuraDrive VBB/VBS series ball valves combine a unique, low force valve design with a compact actuator to create an assembly that is faster and easier to install than any other ball valve assembly in the industry. The VBB/VBS series products accept floating and proportional control signals from a DDC system, controller, or thermostat for control of hot or chilled water, or solutions of up to 60% glycol. The assemblies consist of direct-coupled TAC DuraDrive floating or proportional spring return or non-spring return actuators mounted on 2-way ½” or ¾” (15 mm or 20 mm) VBB or VBS series valve bodies. The VBB Series ball valves include a chrome plated ball and nickel plated stem and the VBS Series ball valves include a stainless steel ball and stem.

The proportional TAC DuraDrive actuators can accept four different input signal ranges, as well as direct and reverse input signals. Actuators are also available that provide 10’ (3.05 m) plenum rated cable and conduit connectors to accommodate the specific wiring requirements of all projects.

The ball valves and actuators can be purchased separately or ordered as complete valve and actuator assemblies, and are easily installed in the field. The ability to easily combine any actuator on any VBB/VBS valve body allows many different valve assembly combinations to be configured using just a few different actuators and valve bodies. The interchangeable valves and actuators provide maximum flexibility in the field while minimizing inventory requirements.
