Industrial Controls – the largest, best known, and most respected distributor of instrumentation controls and HVAC equipment in the nation – is growing again! We’re expanding our business in Pittsburgh (Bridgeville), and now we need someone to help us take on the competition!

Our ideal candidate would have some industry experience, but if you don’t know our business well, that’s okay. As long as you have high energy and the desire to both learn and succeed we can teach you. Of course, we’ll also back you up with a powerful line of products, sophisticated sales systems, and training that will have you “speaking our language” in no time flat!

The candidate we choose will have shown us an irresistible phone presence and a winning personality. Computer proficiency and the ability to write, read, and speak clear English are a must.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Order entry, processing, and invoicing.
  • Provide customer service over the phone.
  • Provide support to Industrial Controls’ customers
  • Building and maintaining positive customer and work relationships.
  • Generating formal price quotes for customers.
  • Meeting a set quota of qualified quotes and orders closed resulting from those quotes.
  • Consulting with Industrial Control product specialists to assess proper product selections.
  • Providing presale applications support to customers.
  • Teaming with Outside Sales Representative to understand the sales strategy for the territory and the sales process, promoting open communication regarding specific accounts and any active project activity.
  • Providing daily feedback and data on account activity to Outside Sales representative.
  • Responsibility for continuous enhancement of job knowledge through active participation in all ICD product- and system-related training sessions.

 

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivelent.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Prior inside sales or order entry experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in the industrial components and systems industry preferred, but not required. Technical expertise is a plus.
  • Familiarity with internet usage and ability to navigate websites.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize work and perform multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including speaking, reading, and writing English.
