for you in Madison, Wisconsin!

It’s at Industrial Controls Distributors!

Madison is the capital Wisconsin and the county seat of Dane County. It is also home to the University of Wisconsin–Madison. With approximately 250,000 people, the city ranks as the second largest in Wisconsin (Milwaukee being the first), and is one of the fastest-growing areas in the entire state.

Madison was created in 1836 when the legislature of the newly formed Wisconsin Territory was convened to choose a permanent location for the capital city. It voted in favor of an area halfway between the new and growing cities around Milwaukee in the east and the long established strategic post of Prairie du Chien in the west, and also between the highly populated lead mining regions in the southwest and Wisconsin's oldest city, Green Bay in the northeast. The city was named for one of the country’s founding fathers, the much-admired James Madison, and is also called “The City of the Four Lakes.”

In 1996 Money magazine identified Madison as the best place to live in the United States. It has consistently ranked near the top of the best-places list in subsequent years, with the city's low unemployment rate a major contributor.
